Foundation CHing Hai Electric Co., Ltd. was founded on Apr. 1, 1981 at No.7, Lane 177, Kung Yeh Road, CHung Ho Tsun, Lung CHing Hsiang, TaiCHung Hsien, Taiwan, with 2 producing lines and about 100 employees at that time. Its business was focused on production of electrical fans with daily output of 5000.   Development Due to the increase of business and to need of reduced cost and stable quality, a motor factory was developed in 1986 to produce motors for self demand, with employees adding up to 170. In 1988 a new workhouse of 10000m2 was extended and the Department of Plastic Cement was expanded with purCHasing 10 shaping mills. At that time, the amount of employee was increased to about 300 and daily output of electrical fans reaCHed a height of 15000. The company came into continuous and stable development. Internationalization To the demand of producing capability, invest environment, and internationalization, the company set up in 1990 an overseas branCH factory in Hanoi, Vietnam engaged in motor production and was highly evaluated by Economy Ministry of The Socialist Republic of Vietnam. In 1992, the company invested and opened factory in Shajing, Shenzhen, CHina, producing household appliances suCH as electric fans, air heaters, etc. and pursuing multiple development. The company has set up 5 branCH factories in CHina engaged respectively in assembly and manufacturing of household appliance, inject shaping of plastic cement, metal stamping, aluminum casting production and manufacturing of electrical condenser, iron grill, baking finish, electroplating, etc. The amount of employee added up to 3000 and the self-made percentage of household appliance reaCHed over 90%. Since 1996, the annual output of electric fans has been beyond 5 millions. The company developed Department of Sports Equipment in 1997, whiCH multiplied the product category of the company, and developed researCH in various household appliances suCH as humidifier, air cleaner, etc. In order to promote wider market, the company set up a marketing office in USA in 1996 to introduce the self-created brands of Weatherorks and Cozy Air into the competition. That action proved to be effective and the products have been in good sales around USA, Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia, South America, etc. In order to keep continuous development and ensure the product quality, the company carried out ISO9002 Certification Process in the end of 1997 hoping to bring about greater development of company under requirements of this international quality standard..
